SMS timer application enable you to schedule the sms you should send on certain time. Let say you are busy man and always forget to wish your girlfriend birthday. Use this software to schedule the message you want to send before the date is come. Eventhought this is not a good manner cause you are cheating her, but this application can increase her love against you. :-p




When you want to compose a new SMS as normal and hit the send button. After few seconds, you’ll see a note saying “To schedule this SMS click Schedule, or click Send Now to send immediately” as above.

So, just click Schedule and you’re asked to define both date and time to send this SMS. After click the Save button, open SMS Timer program again, you should notice the scheduled SMS appears in application window.

Suppose you want to edit the message of a scheduled SMS, double-click it and press Yes to proceed as the “Over-write the existing item and create a new schedule.” note pops up.

To re-schedule a particular scheduled SMS, click to highlight the item then click Options to select Re-schedule (or to delete the scheduled item).

TouchComic format.

A .cbr Comic is a Rar folder with numbered .jpeg images. So basically .cbz Comic is a zipped folder with numbered .jpeg images. It is therefore easy to convert or create .cbz files . Most .cbr comics generally created for viewing on PC's and have larger .jpeg images than .cbz. If you want to create your own Comic or Digitalize some old books or magazines it is quite easy.


Creating your own .cbz Comic

You can create your Comic using your own artwork or scan in an old magazine.
1. Make sure you have UNTICKED the Folder Option "Hide extensions of known file types" from the Tools>Folder Options...>View on your PC.
2. Create a folder with all the jpeg images and number each one "page-01" onwards.
3. Then reduce the image size to 1280px width (twice size landscape width) if you make it smaller it will load each page faster but some small text may be hard to see. Also you might want to crop or adjust the colours.
4. Zip the folder, then rename the .zip extension to .cbz.


Converting .cbr Comic to .cbz comic for 5800
1. Make sure you have UNTICKED the Folder Option "Hide extensions of known file types" from the Tools>Folder Options...>View on your PC.
2. Change the .cbr extension on a Comic to .rar then Unrar (do not unzip) the .cbr to a new folder.
3. Resize the images (for faster loading) to around 1280px width max. with photoshop or similar application and check and rename .jpegs 01-24 etc. if necessary.
4. Compress the new folder using Zip
5. Change the .zip extension to .cbz 6. Move the Digital Comic to the "comics" folder on your memory card via USB cable.

Nokia 5800 TouchComic 1.4 : Application

Digital Comics by Jamie Fuller.

This freeware application read .cbz format and cannot read .cbr formats so you need to convert .cbr to .cbz first.

Following are 3 main new features in version 1.4 taken from Jamie Fuller site.

• Double-tap the side of the screen to skip pages

• Index page (found under navigation menu) this shows a list of all files in the zip so you can skip to it easily

• Hidden file mode, now you can hide comics from prying eyes, for example I have some very violent comics which I would not want my kids to see, but they often use my phone to read futurama comics, this function allows me to hide certain files unless the software is "unlocked" with a password.

To hide some of your comic, just rename it from .cbz to .abz and the software can't recognize the file, until you unlock it using the unlock menu.

You can change the password to something other than the default, which is "password" once you unlock the system.

You can manually 're-lock' the files for opening or simply shut down TouchComic when you next open it will be locked.

Obviously this is not a 100% secure method of protection but it is simply designed to separate access for certain files.

Gmail application for Nokia 5800 Express Music

1. Latest firmware should be installed on nokia 5800. Connect your Nokia 5800 Express Music to your PC and use nokia software updater. The latest nokia 5800 Express Music available now is V21.
2. Online from your Nokia 5800 Express Music and go to www.google.com
3. Click on the Gmail link and google will as you to download this plugin. Download the plugin and install in Nokia 5800 Express Music.
   
4. After a few seconds, your Gmail inbox contents should be displayed. The biggest problem evident here is the huge waste of space from having a virtual d-pad and control buttons. Although you can navigate the application using this virtual d-pad, the key thing to recognise is that the Gmail client is also fully touch-enabled.

Below is the Gmail application with the virtual d-pad. In order to disabled this virtual d-pad, follw the instruction with photo aided below.

Go to setting on the main menu screen and then tap on Application mgr.

Tap through to 'Installed apps' and you should see (after a few seconds) a list of all your installed applications, widgets, modules and games. Scroll down to the entry for Gmail.

With 'Gmail' highlighted, tap on 'Options | Suite settings'.
